POINT’s mission is to provide or facilitate the delivery of services to address unmet community needs of those who live, work and study in North Toronto, through information, education and community engagement.
Once the audience’s main purpose on the website was established, programs and services were showcased at the very top for ease of navigation. The sitemap was also re-organized following user testing. Registries were designed for babysitting, tutoring, and caregiving. Users are guided intuitively to identify what they are looking for in order to narrow down the directory search. Directories are also used for the programs and services offered through POINT from outside sources. Users can search by keywords or by Postal Code and all services are well organized amongst categories.
Re-colouring of the logo was done to achieve a new look and stronger brand recognition. Complimentary colours were established and used throughout the site. The client requested photos be used for each category, so Creatrix searched and chose ones to fit the North Toronto diversity, as well as the topics given.
WordPress was the CMS of choice for easy content editing. In-person training was provided, as well as content migration services for the whole of their previous website.
