With their new branding in full effect, IMFN returned to Creatrix requiring the design and development for their new website. Having designed and developed their last website, including maintenance throughout the years, Creatrix had a thorough understanding of their current requirements.
The homepage features easy access to articles, news, toolkits and social media. An interactive map was incorporated on the homepage giving the viewer the ability to explore IMFN’s global network members. Large, high quality photos were used to showcase the landscapes through the model forest network around the world. The extra breathing air we provided for the images produced an overall lush feeling that reflects the work of IMFN in preserving forests; the simple grace of the sceneries help us share this purpose.
IMFN required a multi-lingual website with each language having their own unique domain name. The languages include English, French, and Spanish. Fulfilling this request, Creatrix successfully developed a WordPress website that allows the administrator to easily edit between all three languages without much complications. Beyond translatable page content, we customized other aspects of the website (logo, forms, tagline, etc.) to conform to the given brand guideline for each language that fall under Roseau international de forêts modèles (RIFM) and Red Internacional de Bosques Modelo (RIBM).
We also helped create a news feed that showcases up-to-date articles written by IMFN. With an appealing display of listed articles, custom features were added to help users share articles they have just read. There is also a systematically curated list of recommended articles that highlight related news to the category for each article.
